Mission Viejo Continues to Monitor the Bond Fire

fire

The City of Mission Viejo continues to monitor the Bond Fire, which possibly began with a house fire in Silverado Canyon. As of 3:30 pm today, there was no immediate fire threat to Mission Viejo from the more than 7,200-acre fire.

Early morning, the City activated its Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in response to the fire burning in Silverado/Williams Canyon.

Mission Viejo Police Services and other agencies have been supporting the Orange County Fire Authority with road closures, traffic control and evacuations in the affected areas outside the City.  More than 500 firefighters continue to aggressively fight the fire from land and air.

Thank you for this valuable information and for your vigilance on our behalf. It's reassuring to know that our City is closely monitoring this emergency and that our first responders are so willing and able to render badly needed assistance. We are in good hands.

Could you please provide a printable evacuation Zone map?

It would be a good addition to our bug out bags.

Thank you
