Dog lovers sought to volunteer at Mission Viejo Animal Services Center
The Mission Viejo Animal Services Center is looking for experienced volunteers to walk and exercise dogs of all sizes at the center.
Mission Viejo Animal Services Center is a pro-humane facility that cares for homeless animals until they can be reunited with their owner or placed in a new permanent home. This would not be possible without our compassionate and dedicated volunteers. Volunteers work with staff caring for animals and enriching their experience while they stay with us. Dog walkers are essential to maintaining the well-being of dogs until they are adopted.
By volunteering, you can meet new people, develop new skills, gain valuable work experience, and most of all, make a difference in the lives of homeless dogs.

How old do you have to be to participate in this? My granddaughter will be 11 in July, going into middle school & she loves animals. This would be a fun activity for her to do in the summer. She is pretty responsible, outgoing, polite & caring. Please let me know if that might be something she can experience.
Thank you

I am a retired RN and would like to volunteer with the animal shelter to walk the dogs and to give them some company. Sitting in a cage would be so lonely for the animals. During my life, I've had many small dogs (Cockapoos, Cocker Spaniel, Havachon) and going for walks were a wonderful part of our day.

I raised my Goldendoodle from a pup until he passed after 15 years. Chy and I were a team in both Delta Society and Pet Partners until he was unable to continue because of health problems. Visited hospitals, Retirement facilities, Universities and rehab facilities.
Would love to volunteer if you still need help.
