The City will host a community districting workshop at 10 am on Saturday, October 30 in the City Council Chamber at 200 Civic Center. 

The workshop will help residents understand the reason for transitioning to the district-based elections and what criteria is considered when drawing districts. 

The City developed a dedicated webpage with detailed information and history about the City districting process.

In preparation of the City moving to district-based voting for the November 2022 Municipal Election, the City has created "District Elections" webpages to educate residents about the process. 

The webpages feature a host of detailed information including an overview of the Voting District Formation Process; frequently asked questions; and more. 

The City of Mission Viejo will begin early in-person voting Saturday, September 4 for the 2021 California Gubernatorial Recall Election on September 14.

The 10-day Vote Center in the City Hall Saddleback Room at 200 Civic Center takes place from 8 am to 5 pm September 4-10; 8 am to 8 pm September 11-13; and 7 am to 8 pm on Election Day 14. 

The Orange County Registrar of Voters will host a drive-through ballot drop-off option as well.

The districting process timeline is prescribed by the California Elections Code Section 21600 in the Fair Map Act. Projected timeframe, subject to adjustment based on variable and legal requirements.
