Parents will have the chance to learn about an award-winning intervention model addressing destructive adolescent behaviors during the next Mission Viejo Drug Prevention Coalition on Wednesday, May 15.

The meeting starts at 6 pm at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center.

In honor of May's designation as Mental Health Month, the City is partnering with Mission Hospital to promote the Each Mind Matters campaign.

Mark your calendar and raise your glass in celebration of the summer season on Friday, May 31.

Guests to the Grapes & Grains event will savor eight tastings of local wine and craft beer like Pizza Port, Left Coast and Barley Forge while enjoying delectable appetizers and live music on the terrace of the Norman P. Murray Center.  (Full-size pours will be available for purchase.)

Don't miss the chance to see the eye-opening film "I Am Sam" on Sunday, May 19, 2 pm at Mission Viejo City Hall.

"I Am Sam" highlights Mission Viejo's character quality of moral courage.  The movie tells the heartwarming and honest story of a man whose daughter is taken away from him because of his mental disability.  To get his daughter back, he must fight many battles with the help of his lawyer and most trusted friends.

Following the film's screening, guests will have the opportunity to share their encounters and experiences with moral courage.

Calling local U.S. military veterans! Registration is now available for the 7th annual Mission Armed Forces game this fall at Mission Viejo High School.

Mission Viejo locals are encouraged to nominate a friend or family member who has served in a branch of the U.S. Military.

Selected veterans and their families will experience a pre-game dinner, reserved seating and post-game recognition ceremony where each honoree will receive a jersey.

If you want an easy way to get to Angels' games, hop aboard the Angels Express.

The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) is operating the special Angels Express trains again this year to all weekday home games that start at 7:07 p.m. for $7 or less round-trip.  The service helps you avoid traffic and parking hassles by taking the Metrolink train that drops you off only a few steps from Angel Stadium at the Anaheim-ARTIC station.

Get ready to take an enchanting tour of picturesque gardens on Saturday, May 11.

The Rose Society of Saddleback Mountain is sponsoring its 26th "Elegant and Enchanting Garden Tour" of five unique and beautiful private gardens in south Orange County from 10 am to 4 pm. 

Spend your Mother's Day weekend touring a curated selection of gardens from Laguna Niguel to Portola Hills.  Stroll through an array of garden styles that will inspire you to create your own personal garden paradise with new ideas around every turn.

Do you know about the convenient transportation options available at your fingertips? The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) is hosting a special "Learn How to Ride the Bus" workshop on Tuesday, April 23 from 10 am to noon at the Norman P. Murray Center.

The U.S. Census Bureau is recruiting thousands of people across the country to assist with the 2020 Census count.

Great for college students or anyone wanting to make a few bucks on the side, the temporary positions include census takers, recruiting assistants, office staff and supervisory staff.

To be eligible, you must be at least 18 years old, have a valid Social Security number and be a U.S. citizen.

Candidates must complete an online job application, which includes assessment questions about your education, work and other experience.

The public is invited to enjoy the heartwarming feature film "A Dog's Purpose" at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 28 at Mission Viejo City Hall.
