If you want to see a great production, check out "Clue On Stage" at 7 pm November 20-22 at Capistrano Valley High School's Performing Arts Center.

The show is based on the classic board game everyone knows and loves. Audience members are invited to try to figure out "who done it." Was it Mrs. Peacock in the library with the candlestick or Colonel Mustard in the billiard room with the wrench?

Within the next few days, the City of Mission Viejo will close escrow on the Casta del Sol Golf Course - a move that has preserved more than 100 acres of open space in the heart of the community.

Don't miss Mission Viejo High School Drama's production of "The Unloved" November 7-9 at the high school theatre located at 25025 Chrisanta Drive.

A modern adaptation of the romance of Tristen and Iseult, the production, which starts at 7 pm each night, features a cast and crew of 36 students including a live band.

The production is directed by Mrs. Kathy Cannarozzi Harris with musical direction by Mr. Jake Zelinger.

Every eight years, Sacramento determines how much housing the 6-county Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) region - consisting of 197 jurisdictions including Mission Viejo - must accept.

With Halloween today, the Orange County Sheriff's Department is reminding parents to be prepared and keep a close watch on their children as they go through the neighborhood collecting candy and treats.

For parents and guardians, that means making sure children are visible to drivers. Adults should use a designated sober driver when leaving a local bar, restaurant or house party.

To keep trick-or-treaters and others safe, the department will step up patrols looking for drivers suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

The City of Mission Viejo and Waste Management are teaming up to host a FREE Shred Event on Saturday, November 9 from 9-11 am (or until capacity is reached) in the Mission Viejo High School parking lot at 25025 Chrisanta Drive.

The event is open to Mission Viejo residents only, so proof of residency is required at the entrance. Residents can dispose of up to 10 file-size boxes by driving them up to the onsite mobile shredding unit.

A single mom and her three children now have a roof over their heads and place to sleep thanks to the efforts of the City, Mission Viejo Police Services, Mercy House and a local business. 

With hot, windy weather conditions that may create the potential for elevated fire risk, Public Safety Power Shutoffs are under consideration by Southern California Edison (SCE) for various communities in SoCal, including Mission Viejo.
