Make plans for a special author storytime for all ages on Saturday, April 23 in Mission Viejo. Local author Alexandra Katona will present her picture book "Dinner on Domingos" and discuss her writing career during this free event that starts at 11 am in The Kershaw Garden at 200 Civic Center.

We invite families with young children to join us for storytime on the lawn in The Kershaw Garden, nestled between City Hall and the Library. These outdoor programs offer stories, songs, and rhymes to encourage toddlers and preschoolers to develop essential learning and literacy skills. Bring your beach chairs and blankets and enjoy songs, rhymes, and books that help build the foundation for a lifelong love of reading.


Staying in? We offer a virtual pajama storytime on Tuesdays at 6 pm via Facebook Live.

Learn about Mission Viejo's storied past by visiting the Heritage House from 11 am to 1 pm on March 19 at Melinda Park. 

The City's Heritage House was established in 2003 to educate folks about our rich history.  Formerly a Mission Viejo Company new-home sales center, the house once attracted prospective buyers seeking their dream home. Today, it's where visitors come to learn about the people and events that made Mission Viejo "The California Promise."

People of all ages are welcome. No reservations needed.
