Police Services

The Senior Corps Of Retirees is comprised of a group of dedicated volunteer senior citizens working in conjunction with the Orange County Sheriff's Department, which handles the law enforcement services for the City. The volunteer program was developed and approved in 1989 by the Mission Viejo City Council. This volunteer group performs a number of duties for the City, which allows the Sheriff's Deputies to devote the bulk of their activities to law enforcement.

Mission Viejo is ranked as one of the safest cities in California and in the nation. Join Neighborhood Watch to keep it that way!

Mission Viejo Police Services is committed to developing a partnership with the business community. Modeled after the Neighborhood Watch Program, Business Watch encourages businesses to work together and with law enforcement to prevent crime in the business community. Such cooperative efforts make for a successful crime fighting team and offer mutual aid assistance in time of disaster. This program is free and available to all storefront businesses in the city.
