Senior Drop-and-Go non-perishable Food Drive will take place from 9 am to noon on Thursday, June 15 at the North Paseo, 25282 Marguerite Parkway.

Hosted by the Senior Leadership Committee, the drive-through, drop-off event will benefit low- and fixed-income seniors who experience food insecurities and use the senior grocery program at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center.

This Night Market has a Beach Bash theme and will transform the North Paseo into a fun summer beach vibe with palm trees, Tiki torches and hula dancers performing periodically between 5:30-7:30 pm.

Enjoy several crafts, live entertainment, a community art project and a new community display about the Core Area Vision. Free glitter tattoos will also be available for two hours.

Several delectable food trucks will be onsite including Hangry Belly (burgers), Mom's Kitchen (Mexican), The Cake Plug (funnel cake and sweets) and Tap Truck OC for beer.

When you head to the weekly Farmers Market on June 17, join the YMCA Adventure Guides Program for free crafts and fun! They will host a booth and provide all the supplies for families to enjoy together.

The purpose of the Adventure Guides program is to foster companionship between a parent and child. This program is designed for dads or families to spend quality time with their children one on one doing activities like campouts, excursions, and fun projects.

Diana Chu has been singing and playing piano most of her life and has more than 30 private piano and voice students. She frequently performs at weddings and events and plays every Saturday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Ladera Ranch during 4 pm mass. Geocaching is an innovative outdoor treasure-hunting game where participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates using GPS-enabled devices (including smart phones) to search for cleverly hidden objects, called caches which are all over the world. This high-tech game is fun for all ages and is great for families, groups of friends and individuals. Come learn how to geocache and join us as we launch a GeoTour in Mission Viejo! The GeoTour will take you to many places around the City to find hidden treasures. This GeoTour will be the first in Southern California.

The City is hosting a drop-and-go food and baby formula drive at the North Paseo on Friday, June 9 from 11 am to 4 pm.

The donation event will support the local nonprofit Family Assistance Ministries - a City partner that supports families and individuals in need in South County.  

Items requested are non-perishable food items and baby formula (any brand).
