In an effort to help young people facing mental health challenges, the City is hosting a Youth Mental Health Expo from 6-8 pm Wednesday, September 8 at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.

Designed to build hope and resiliency during these unsettling times, the event will feature a host of information, resources and inspiration to help youth and young adults struggling with mental health challenges.

From sewing, game development and code programming to math and reading development, a host of fun and engaging after-school youth enrichment classes are available at the Norman P.  Murray Community and Senior Center.

Registration is underway for these great classes.

If you are seeking a rewarding part-time job working with kids, listen up! Kids Factory is now hiring fun, energetic and responsible staff for after-school programs at various elementary schools in Mission Viejo. 

Kids Factory is a popular drop-in recreation program sponsored by the City of Mission Viejo.  

Get ready for exciting youth sports leagues kicking off this fall. Registration is available for the following action-packed, confidence-building leagues catering to Mission Viejo youth.

Do your kids enjoy crafts, games, sports, themed events, and simply having F-U-N?  Then register today for Kids Factory, which is returning for the 2021/22 school year.   

A popular drop-in recreation program sponsored by the City of Mission Viejo, Kids Factory caters to elementary school children in grades K-6.   

Operating hours at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center will expand on September 7, allowing for community members, groups, organizations, and businesses to take advantage of rentals at the beautiful 23,500-square-foot-facility. 

The center will operate from 8 am to 11 pm Monday through Saturday and from noon to 8 pm every Sunday.  

The fall issue of Mission Viejo Life is now online - offering a bounty of community events, programs and classes that span the next few months. 

Inside the pages, you will learn about the return of special events like the Mission Armed Forces Tribute Football Game on October 1; 11th Annual Tee It Up Fore Marines Golf Tournament October 8; and 50th Annual Gifts and Goodies Boutique on November 20.
