Knitting for Beginners
In this 4-week entry-level class, you will learn the skills to begin enjoying the time-honored craft of knitting. Skills learned include casting-on, knit stitch, purl stitch, and binding off. All supplies are provided. A $15 material fee is due to the instructor on the first day of class.
Classes are for people 16 and older. Cost is $70.

Knitting Project Class: A Basic Fitted Hat
Learn how to knit a beanie-style hat. Students should already know the knit and purl stitches. Skills covered include knitting in the round, hat sizing and using both circular and double-pointed needles. Students must purchase sets of circular and double-pointed needles to complete this project.
Classes are for people 16 and older. Cost is $55.

Knitting Beyond Beginner
Take your knitting to the next level! In this 3-week class, you will learn how to increase, decrease and combine stitches. How to read knitting patterns will also be covered. All supplies are included. A $15 material fee is due to the instructor on the first day of class.
Classes take place Tuesday, October 5-19 from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm for people 16 and older. Cost is $55; register here.
Knitting Project Class: Shawls
Learn the basics of shawl construction. Students should know how to knit and purl. We will work on a beautiful crescent-shaped shawl. Students must bring their own supplies. The fee includes the instructor's original pattern. A supply list is provided upon registration.
Classes take place Thursday, October 7-28 from 6-8 pm for age 16 and older. Cost is $75; register here.
Potocki Family Art Time
Help your child explore the creative world around he or she with different mediums and ideas through art projects. Children must be accompanied by parent or guardian. Classes take place on the outdoor patio at the Potocki Center for the Arts. Current COVID-19 safety standards are in place. Pre-register for classes to hold your spot or drop-in.
Classes take place on the first and third Wednesday, September 1 to November 17 from 10-11:30 am for age 3 and older. Cost is $5 per child.

Adult Open Studio
Join the Cultural Arts Committee for monthly art workshops that will delight the creative spirit with mixed-medium projects. Projects range from rain sticks, line drawings and colored-pencil art to watercolor, printmaking and two-dimensional pieces. Seating is limited, so don’t delay in reserving your spot today. *A $5 supply fee is payable to the instructor.
Classes take place Tuesday, September 14 to November 9 from 3-5 pm for adults 18 and older. The class is free.
Fun Art for Kids
Kids will experience creativity through fun art projects. Classes include a directed drawing experience followed by an art activity using various art media. All supplies are provided.

Wonderful Watercolor with Marlene Gerloff
Learn about color theory, elements of art and technique. Enjoy learning to create successful watercolor paintings through training, demonstrations, and critiques. A supply list is provided to new painters upon registration.
Classes take place Wednesday, September 22 to October 27 from 12-2:30 pm for adults 18 and older. Cost is $80; register here.
Paint, Paste & Pour
Watch your child discover paint, glue, crayons, dough, and more. Kids enjoy developmentally appropriate hands-on experiences with manipulative art and sensory materials. Parent participation is required. *A $20 material fee is due to instructor on the first day of class.

Beginning Guitar & Ukulele Ensemble
Experience fun and easy musical interaction with other beginners in a friendly and supportive environment. Learn simple chords, strum styles, familiar melodies and classic songs in this combination class. The blend of lows of the guitar and highs of the ukulele is an amazingly beautiful sound. Must bring your own guitar or ukulele to class.
Classes take place Wednesday, October 20 to November 17 from 7-8 pm for people 10 and older. Cost is $109; register here.
Open Studio Drawing & Painting
Open Studio is an opportunity for people with previous painting or drawing experience to independently pursue their art projects with the guidance of a professional artist. Any medium is allowed except for oil-based paints.
