Disneyland is about located about 25 miles away, Legoland (in north San Diego County) is about 40 miles away, and it's only 12 miles to the beach.  Mission Viejo has three hotels to serve our visitors:  Ayres Suites, Ayres Hotel & Spa, and the Fairfield Inn.  A 101-room Hampton Inn & Suites is under construction and a late 2016 opening is anticipated.

New Mission Viejo eateries include:  Island's Fine Burgers & Drinks, Burger Boss, Tacos Cancun, Anchor Hitch, Oyu Shabu, Diced, Hummus Bowl, Dry Society, Milkbox, the Portola Coffee Roasters, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, and The Melt.  These new eateries will be coming soon:  Oggi's Pizza and Brewing Company, Savour Cafe & Bakery, Poke Wave,  Panini Cafe, MJ Cafe, RTE, and Menchie's.

These new developments have been already been approved by the City of Mission Viejo:  101-room Hampton Inn and Suites, Orchard Supply Hardware store, GreenStreet (a new 17,000 square foot commercial center), Mission Viejo Medical Center (a 108,000 sq. ft. medical office building), Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen, and a renovation/expansion of the commercial center on Crown Valley where Coco's restaurant is presently located.

Bikeway Survey

The City of Mission Viejo is developing a Bikeway Master Plan to improve the cycling experience in our community and encourage more people to enjoy riding their bicycles. We are currently in the process of gathering information to understand current cycling trends and preferences in the City.

As part of this effort, beginning on November 8th and running through December 7th, we are seeking resident feedback via a short, online survey. The survey will be available on our website, in our newsletter, and via our social media sites.
