Camp Out registration now open for Mission Viejo residents

If you're seeking a rustic and fun staycation, look no further. Registration is now available for the 2018 summer Camp Out at Cordova Park.

This free family event is from 4 p.m. Saturday, August 4 to 10 a.m. Sunday, August 5.  Along with camping under the pristine Mission Viejo sky, the event boasts a flashlight hike, games, s'mores and more. This popular, one-of-a-kind camp is limited to the first 800 people, so early registration is advised and available for Mission Viejo residents.

The Camp Out gives you the chance to savor a meal prepared by the good folks of the Mission Viejo Activities Committee. Simply pre-purchase a non-refundable dinner ticket by selecting either the hamburger, cheeseburger, all-beef hot dog or vegetarian entrée. Meals come with chips, applesauce and a drink. If you don't purchase meal tickets by July 30, you can bring your own picnic dinner.

Late registration for Mission Viejo residents and non-residents starts at 8 a.m. on June 1.  The park is located at 26931 El Retiro.
