FAQ

1. How much does Camp Out cost and how many can attend?

Camp Out is a FREE event and limited to 800 people. This year S’mores and breakfast are included with your registration. Click here to register for Camp Out.

The Mission Viejo Activities Committee will be cooking dinner for those who pre-purchase a meal option. The following meal options can be purchased online:

- $7 Hamburger, Cheeseburger, or Vegetarian (includes chips, apple sauce, and drink) Click here to purchase a $7 dinner option.

2. Are meal tickets pre-sale only?

Meal tickets must be pre-purchased online, over the phone (949-859-4348), or at any recreation and tennis center. Tickets will not be available for purchase at Camp Out. 
Only registered campers can purchase meal tickets.

Meal tickets are optional. Campers can bring their own picnic dinner. BBQ’s or open flame grills, etc. are NOT permitted at the event.

3. When can I register my family?

Mission Viejo residents can register beginning May 1 at 8:00 am. All campers must be registered for the event. Click here to register for the event.

4. Participants must register online.

Registration in-person or over the phone is unavailable.

5. How do I register if I am a non-resident?

Registration for non-residents and late registrations opens June 1. Click here to register for the event.

6. Can I register myself or do I need to register everyone in my group?

All campers must be registered for the event. Registration is per family. You will need to select each family member during registration to ensure that each person is registered as the event is limited to 800 participants. Friends or neighbors can not be added to a family account and must self register to participate.

Children 18 years and younger must have an adult registered within their family, and stay overnight to participate.

7. I have registered via PerfectMind…Now what?

Wristbands and meal tickets are available for early pick up at the Felipe Recreation & Tennis Center (27161 Nogal) the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday before Camp Out during normal business hours from:

  • 8 am – Noon (Wed. – Fri.) 3-9:00 pm (Wed. – Thurs.); and 3 pm -7 pm (Friday).
  • Wristbands can also be picked up at the event from 3 pm - 5 pm at the information booth

Please wear your wristbands at all times during Camp Out. Updated parking and camping instructions will be emailed to participants prior to the event.

8. What if I lose my wristband or meal ticket?

Replacement wristbands or meal tickets can be purchased for $5 (cash only) upon check-in at the event. Anyone without a wristband will be sent to check-in to verify registration and to purchase a replacement wristband.

9. I'm having issues processing my registration.  Who can I call?

Please contact staff at 949-859-4348 extension 5722 during business hours. Staff is available to walk you through how to register or provide troubleshooting assistance.
