General Rules & Regulations
The City of Mission Viejo Recreation and Community Services Department is responsible for an array of services and facilities for residents and visitors to our City. Responsibilities include class registration, fitness center memberships, special events, facility reservations, aquatics, tennis, teen programs, aging activities and more. Improving the quality of life of the Mission Viejo community is our priority. The Recreation and Community Services Department is dedicated to creating a safe, fulfilling and unique environment that will preserve and enhance the lives of our residents through its parks, places and programs.
Below are general rules and regulations pertaining to City of Mission Viejo parks:

Park, open space, and off-road trail hours: 7 am - 11 pm

Parks and open spaces may be reserved by obtaining a permit.

Use of amplified sound is prohibited without a permit.

Commercial use, sales and distribution prohibited without a permit.

Golf, skateboarding, motor-driven vehicles, alcoholic beverages, and glass containers are prohibited on all parks, open spaces, trails, and sports fields. Skateboard and in-line skate use permitted only at the Mission Viejo Skateboard Facility at Beebe Park.

Dogs or cats must be leashed and matter left by animal removed.

No person shall smoke a cigarette, cigar, or other tobacco-related product within the boundaries of any playground, or tot lot sandbox area.

Parks, open spaces, trails, and sports fields may be closed as determined by the City during inclement weather or for maintenance purposes.

All violators will be prosecuted. Be safe and responsible while using your facilities, parks, open spaces, and trails!
