Local Boy Scout Troop is embracing the reason for the season
Boy Scout Troop #603 recently celebrated its 51st year in existence by collecting care packages for members of the military who are spending the holidays overseas.
The scouts, who are in grades 6-8, and their parents filled the 13 boxes with remnants of home and the holidays – special yummy treats, games and toiletries.
“During Christmas time, the focus is understandably on the children and sometimes service members overseas can get lost in the shuffle,” said Senior Patrol Leader Aidan McFann.
The scouts embraced the opportunity to give back to those who protect our freedoms. For information about Boy Scout Troop #603, contact Scoutmaster Frank Perez at fperez24792@gmail.com. Good job you guys! Well done…
Good job you guys! Well done! Though the title of this article is misleading. Jesus is actually the "reason for the season."
Keep up the good work!
