Parents invited to important Secure OC Schools meeting on Oct. 7
As part of an ongoing effort to keep children safe, the Secure OC Schools coalition is hosting a meeting on October 7 from 9 am to 11:30 am in the Saddleback Room at 200 Civic Center.
Parents of school children are invited to learn about a new safety app that is available in schools throughout the City as well as “Stop the Bleed” kits that are now in our middle and high schools. The meeting will also include a demonstration of training that is available from SAFE Kids.
The Secure OC Schools coalition was launched last year as part of a regional effort in South Orange County to combat school gun violence.
During the October 7 meeting, parents will learn how Secure OC Schools is working to protect people in our schools and places of worship in Mission Viejo and how parents can help ensure the safety of everyone in today's heightened violent climate.
