Looking for a lap dog who will give you his undivided attention? If so, Nigel is the pup for you.
This affectionate 5-year-old Chihuahua/whippet mix loves to cuddle and wants nothing more than to spend the entire day by your side. He has just the right amount of energy to enjoy a daily walk or hike, but he also enjoys spending time with his family on the couch.
If your pet was suddenly missing, what would you do? After searching your neighborhood to no avail, would you call your local animal shelter? That is the best thing to do.Â

Panda landed at the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center after the shelter received a call about a family of cats living in unsafe conditions. She and her three sisters were rescued and nursed back to health with the help of a local veterinary team. Shortly after, Panda gave birth to four kittens and was placed with a loving foster family while she nursed her babies.

'Tis the season for joy and merriment - and adding a new furry friend to your family for only $20.
In an effort to find every animal a great home, the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center and Dedicated Animal Welfare Group are sponsoring a special "Home for the Holidays" event. From now through December 19, you can adopt any dog, cat, kitten or rabbit for only $20. To boot, these animals will go home with approved adopters spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
If you're seeking a unique and memorable holiday gift for that special someone, consider purchasing a $100 paver for the "Canine Walk of Fame" at La Paws Park.
The pavers will be installed mid-March at the popular 6-acre dog park located at the eastern edge of the City along Felipe Road just south of Gilleran Park.
Paver donations help pay for added dog park amenities like benches, chairs, tables, drinking fountains and shade structures.
