Registration is underway for the fall season of Mission Viejo Girls Softball, an all-volunteer league that inspires girls ages 5-14 to love the game of softball while instilling values of confidence, determination, athleticism, sportsmanship, teamwork and leadership.
Congratulations to the Mission Viejo Girls Softball 14U team that will compete in the Western Nationals in Salem, Oregon July 29 to August 4.
The Mission Viejo Girls’ Softball 14u "Illusion" team has made it through district championships; battled in 110-degree heat to advance through state championships; and is now heading to Northern California to compete for a national title beginning July 31.
The team’s road to the nationals was paved with success and victories at prestigious competitions. The girls play competitive fast-pitch softball with dedication, sportsmanship and a team spirit unmatched by others.
The spring season of youth sports groups kicks off this month with several opening day ceremonies on tap – including the golden anniversary celebration of South Mission Viejo Little League.
For that 50th milestone anniversary, South Mission Viejo Little League will host players from the 1997 Little League National Championship team for a special commemoration. The opening ceremony is at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 25 at Youth Athletic Park.
