Relax your body and mind for a good cause through the 5-part yoga series benefitting Relay For Life of Mission Viejo.

The "Yoga for Self-Care" program takes place on Sunday afternoons from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. January 22, February 12, March 12, April 9 and May 14 at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.

If you are a local health or wellness organization and are interested in some great exposure, register today to take part in Mission Viejo's Community Health Fair in February.

The Community Health Fair is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. February 25 at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.

The Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center is seeking volunteer nurses for the center's free blood pressure screening on Wednesdays.

Registered and vocational nurses or certified nursing assistants are sought to volunteer a 2-hour shift from 10 a.m. to noon at least one Wednesday per month.

The blood pressure screening is one of many free services the City of Mission Viejo offers to older residents.

Middle school students can tap their creative sides, learn about art and music and gain assistance with their homework in these special after-school programs at local schools and City facilities.  To boot, all sessions are only $25 for kids age 11-14. Space is limited so register for the following classes today.

The 7 p.m. concert takes place at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.

Newgate Orchestra’s “New Beginnings” art show and concert begins at 7 p.m. at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.
 
The event will celebrate the New Year, unity and the holiday spirit through the magic of music and art.
 

The Master Chorale of Saddleback Valley will delight folks of all ages with a spectacular Mistletoe and Holly Concert on Sunday, December 11 at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.

The 4 p.m. concert will feature holiday favorites folks love along with pieces many have never heard before. A highlight of the afternoon will be a rendition of Morten Lauridsen's magical and haunting "O Magnum Mysterium.” Guests will also savor traditional wassail – hot spiced cider – and cookies.  Doors open at 3:30 p.m.
