Hello, my girlfriend and I adopted Baloo (Maui) a few months ago. He was severely under socialized due to a hoarding situation where he was found and we knew the time and patience we would have to invest in order to help Baloo. At first we were very concerned at his fear of people and surroundings. But after a lot of love and attention he began to come around. He is 100% house
Hi there!! My husband and I adopted Pirate (now renamed to Poppy) in February after losing our 18 year old kitty to cancer, and we wanted to give you an update!! We love her so much! We can't imagine our home without her now. She really helped heal our hearts and her and our 16 year old senior have become buddies. She's so sweet, gentle, and just loves to cuddle. We're so grateful to have her!!
Here are some pictures of Cheddar now. He's a very handsome, and spoiled little boy!!
Just sharing I adopted my kitten from you guys around a month ago and he is doing so well here and is so loved. He was the black kitten
named Obsidian at the shelter and I renamed him Mowgli! It took 2 weeks to introduce him to my cat I already had but now they're great friends and they play and eat together and share their kitty tower! He is doing so well, he loves to play, and he loves to
In August of 2018 I adopted Kazoo who was thought to be about 4 years old. I thought he needed a companion, so in August of 2021 I adopted Blossom who is a senior (probably 10 to 14). At first they just tolerated each other, but Blossom was determined to win Kazoo over. Whenever he is on this big pillow, she just gets on there too. So now they are best friends.
I just wanted to send you an update and let you know that Poe (now Gryphon) has settled in so well with our family and is very loved. He purrs as soon as we go near him and pet him and flops on the floor for a belly rub. He loves to be on our lap for cuddles and is very affectionate. He has been very playful and wonderful with our two boys and dogs. What an amazing little cat he is.
Thank you so much for letting me adopt Nala. She is settling in well.
I wanted to send you some pics from Coco's [elote's] first month with us. She is the sweetest kitten- so affectionate and playful. Our older cat and her play together and just this week started sleeping on the same bed- they are making progress!! Coco doesn't love our dogs but we are still working on getting them acclimated and letting her approach them at her own pace. She's started
We adopted Laguna, now Pumpkin, a little over 2 months ago and I wanted to send an update. Pumpkin is doing amazing in our home. She loves to play, watch dad work, and make biscuits on her favorite blanket. We love having Pumpkin!
Macho Nacho is doing great! This is within 10 minutes of us getting home for the first time with him (and Luigi). He pretty much made himself right at home.
We thought we would have to carry him a little bit on our walks with Luigi, since we walk at least 15-20 minutes, 4 times a day. Nope! Macho Nacho walks the whole time. He likes to get under Luigi's leg while he
Sage, now known as Kacey, is really feeling at home. She walks great on the leash with Freckles. They are still working on their relationship, Kacey wants to play and Freckles wants to be left alone. At night they do sleep on their dog beds next to each other. As you can see Kacey has found it's ok to lay on the couch.
Last Saturday we had our grandson's 5 year old
Duffy and Sylvester are feeling right at home. Thank you so much I smile every day.. they make me so happy
Me and my family adopted Churro about almost two months ago now! I just wanted to reach out and give you guys an update. He's doing super well right now and is very calm and well behaved for his age. He loves going to Wags and Wiggles dog daycare with me and has made so many friends there too including my co workers who love him as well! He absolutely loves his nap times and will find the most
It's been a little over 5 months since we've adopted Hoagie. This guy has eased into his fur-ever home and has brought immense love and joy into our lives. Thank you for giving us this snuggle bug and the newest member of our family.
I just wanted to share that I adopted Bella 22 years ago from the Mission Viejo Animal Shelter. She was tiny as a teacup when I first brought her home. She is such a sweet, sassy cat and is still doing great. Pets are such a big part of our family and I appreciate all your shelter does to help animals find their forever homes!

We adopted a sweet little kitten about a month ago from you and we wanted to share that he has become a huge part of our family! When we adopted him, his name was Key Largo. Our daughters have since named him Bunker, after a golf course sand trap, because of his white fur.
He is doing amazing and fits right in with our family. Our other cat, Blossom, absolutely loves him and they are caught
updates from our new adoption for Togo!
formerly Popcorn now named Lola!
We adopted Sierra from your Shelter on Tuesday 8/10/21. The name she responded to was Sophie and that is her official name. The first night was restless but now it's not even a week and it feels like she has been in our family always. We love her and are so happy she is home.
Here's an update on Mooshie's first two days. She has stolen the hearts of everyone here as she did yours. She spent all day yesterday sleeping, only punctuated by tail wagging. I'm sure she's decompressing from the changes in her life. I'm letting her take the lead as to her comfort level and what she wants to explore. She's a bit more adventurous today. Did I tell you that my house backs up to
Kali's have finished 2 out of 4 meds and also girls are finishing up the boiled chicken and rice I made for Kali earlier in the week. Transitioning away from boiled chicken and rice to adding some of the hard and soft food Gemma eats to completely be on Gemma's food by the time the meds are done. Fingers crossed for Kali. Pic I too just now after morning walk while I'm working out.
Dear MVASC staff and DAWG,
We wanted to thank you for allowing us to adopt Fievel who we named Finnegan (we call him Finn!)
Finn has brought immeasurable joy to our family. Each one of us has a special bond with him and he is getting love from every direction! We have always created a "voice" for our pets and Finn often runs through the house saying "I hit the dang jackpot coming home
