Finnegan

Dear MVASC staff and DAWG,

We wanted to thank you for allowing us to adopt Fievel who we named Finnegan (we call him Finn!)

Finn has brought immeasurable joy to our family. Each one of us has a special bond with him and he is getting love from every direction! We have always created a “voice” for our pets and Finn often runs through the house saying “I hit the dang jackpot coming home with you guys.” 

We have taught Finn to sit and are working on other tricks and commands (especially to not run to/out the door when it opens!) He is great about taking himself to his crate when he feels the need to rest and get away from activity. And one of Finn’s (adorable) daily rituals is to take his toys outside, after breakfast, and play with them while he “suns” in his favorite spot.

Finn is always right there with us on his bed when we watch TV – he loves family time in the evenings. We walk him at 3 times a day and he’s also had a chance to meet and play with some of our friends’ dogs. He is especially fond of our son Nate’s girlfriend’s dog, Poppy (see photo).

Finn is exactly what we wanted in a new dog. He is playful, energetic and so very sweet. He wants to please and is quickly learning obedience and his human’s expectations. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to adopt him and again, THANK YOU. We are so grateful that you saved Finn from the other shelter and kept him at MVASC until fate brought us together!
