Community Relations

Age Well Senior Services is seeking volunteers to help with its amazing services that benefit our seniors.  

Age Well Senior Services is a nonprofit organization that provides daily lunch; Meals on Wheels for homebound seniors; care management; and additional services at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center. The organization is seeking a variety of consistent long-term volunteers to assist with its programs and services between the hours of 9 am and 1:30 pm Monday through Friday.  

Have fun at the Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, October 15.

Check in/warm up, food and beer tents open at 3 pm, and bags fly at 4 pm.

This social division event is open to all ages and skill levels. The Switcholio format is a blind draw, two games round robin where players get a new partner every game and get ranked on an individual basis. This makes for a fun mixer environment for all levels.

Symphony in the Cities and Prelude in the Park returns to the Village Green at 4 pm on Saturday, August 13 at Oso Viejo Community Park, 24932 Veterans Way.

A new weekly Farmers Market is held in Mission Viejo every Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm at the North Paseo, 25282 Marguerite Parkway.

Every Saturday, you can shop a variety of locally grown fresh fruits, vegetables, baked goods, cooked items, handmade crafts and more. Vendors include Bee Ladies Honey, Butter Crumbs Bake Shop, South Coast Farms, Tea Lucky, The Tamale Fiesta, Black Sheep Farms, Got Green Drinks and many more.

Enjoy live music by country bluegrass rocker Tricia Freeman at 5:30 pm on Friday, August 26 at Terrace on the Green.

Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Tasty fare from our appetizer menu will be available for purchase.

Terrace on the Green is open daily for breakfast (7-11 am); lunch (11 am-3 pm); and happy hour (3-8 pm).

Get ready for three spectacular motocross stunt shows featuring former "America's Got Talent" contestants and a world-renowned stunt team at the Symphony in the Cities and Prelude in the Park on Saturday, August 13.

This signature event, which features the Pacific Symphony, is from 4 to 8:30 pm at 24932 Veterans Way.

On the heels of a public forum regarding sober living and recovery homes in May, the City of Mission Viejo will host a second community forum on Wednesday, August 3 to further explore public policy reform opportunities. 

The public forum is from 6-7:30 pm in the Council Chamber at 200 Civic Center. 

The League of California Cities and City of Mission Viejo are encouraging residents to contact their legislative representatives to oppose a new housing bill that would strip local control and take decisions away from Mission Viejo residents.
