Community Relations

In an effort to help residents impacted by the COVID-19 crisis and give others a chance to give back, the City is hosting another Food Drive on Saturday, June 27.

The Food Drive is from 9 am to 11 am at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.

With COVID-19 transforming community events across the country into virtual celebrations, Mission Viejo Police Services and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department are creating a virtual event to celebrate this year’s National Night Out.

Traditionally held on the first Tuesday in August, National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community.

People with or without symptoms of COVID-19 can obtain a free assessment and testing through the OC COVID-19 Testing Network.

The network includes community health centers throughout the County that offer testing and care, even if you don't have health insurance. If you test positive, your close contacts (folks who've been within 6 feet for more than 15 minutes) will be tested or referred to another location for testing.

In an ongoing effort to recognize the amazing healthcare workers and first responders on the front lines, the City created and installed a large art project along Crown Valley Parkway.

This is the second phase of the project dubbed “Gratitude Letters to Honor Healthcare Workers” that called for volunteer groups painting letters spelling “thank you” measuring 4 feet by 8 feet.  The first phase was installed near Mission Hospital.
