With the new State Public Health Order issued to slow the spread of COVID-19, here is what you need to know to stay healthy and safe.

For the health and well-being of residents and to comply with the State’s latest order, the Casta del Sol Golf Course is closed until further notice.

The closure follows the latest State Public Health Order that aims to protect the health of all Californians by establishing consistency across the state to slow the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). The course will remain closed until the State order is lifted.

Governor Gavin Newsom’s office released a new one-stop website for coronavirus (COVID-19) resources.  The website features information including unemployment and paid sick leave along with small business assistance.

With the economic impacts of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Mission Viejo is encouraging residents to support local eateries now operating under the new health guidelines.

Many Mission Viejo restaurants are offering food for pick-up, delivery and even curbside service. Residents can do their part to help spare establishments and workers’ jobs during the coronavirus by ordering food, which also ensures social distancing.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is offering low-interest federal disaster loans for working capital to California small businesses – including those in Mission Viejo – suffering substantial economic injury because of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

In an effort to help residents cope with anxiety associated with the impacts of COVID-19 on our daily lives, the City is providing local mental health referral numbers that can help.

The City of Mission Viejo places the health and well-being of its residents, visitors and businesses as its top priority. That is why, considering directives by Governor Gavin Newsom, the California Department of Public Health and Orange County Health Care Agency, the City is proceeding with several cancelations, postponements and closures to help slow the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). These actions are especially targeted to protecting people who are at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19.
