In an effort to engage our City's youth, Mission Viejo Police Services is excited to announce the Safe Schools Challenge 2 in Mission Viejo! We will be calling on students to be stewards of safety through fun and imaginative videos.
In honor of National Preparedness Month, the City of Mission Viejo is encouraging residents to register for AlertOC, its mass-notification system. This targeted notification system will alert you when there is an imminent threat to life safety with required actions including evacuation orders.
Simply register your cell phone for calls and texts, email addresses and TDD/TY devices at AlertOC.com.
Mission Viejo residents and businesses can destroy their sensitive documents during the free drive-through Document Shredding event on Saturday, September 15.
Hosted by Mission Viejo Police Services and the City, the event is from 8 a.m. to noon in the Mission Viejo High School parking lot at 25025 Chrisanta Drive.
Identity theft is one of the fastest-growing crimes in the nation, and shredding documents with personal or financial information can be an effective measure of prevention.

Mission Viejo residents have the chance to meet local Orange County Sheriff’s Department deputies for “Coffee with a Cop†on Tuesday, June 12.
Residents can ask questions or share their concerns while getting to know the deputies who serve their community from 8-10 a.m. at Bravos California Fresh, 27200 La Paz Road. Admission to the event is free.
