The City will honor the men, women and children who lost their lives and the heroes who responded to the catastrophic events on 9/11.

The Patriot Day gathering is from 10:30 am to noon Sunday, September 11 at Applegate Park located between Orange County Fire Authority Station 31 and Florence Joyner Park on Olympiad.

Residents will have the chance to pen remembrance messages in reflection of this day and participate in a candle lighting ceremony.

The City-sponsored Kids Factory program is expanding to accommodate more family requests for childcare programming at elementary schools throughout the year.

Get ready for a fall season of fun when the City's Movie in the Park series kicks off this month.

First up is the screening of the animated "The Bad Guys" on Saturday, September 24 at Napoli at 27682 Napoli Way. Then on Saturday, October 8, families will enjoy "Raya and the Last Dragon" at Cordova Park, 26931 El Retiro. Things will get a little spooky with "Beetlejuice" on October 29 at Cordova Park, 26931 El Retiro.

Join us for the City's first Park(ing) Day installation. The event will include arts and crafts, interactive games, a bounce house and live music. On this day, people across the world temporarily repurpose street parking spaces and convert them to tiny parks and places for art, play, and activism. For more information, visit myparkingday.org.
