Construction at the intersection of Crown Valley Parkway and Forbes Road is set to begin on April 2 and will cause traffic delays in the area.

The City of Laguna Niguel project will take place at night from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.  for up to two months. Traffic will be restricted on both streets but open travel lanes will be maintained.  Access to the Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo Metrolink Station will be available but motorists can expect delays.

Drop by the Marguerite Tennis Pavilion through April 2 for the chance to place a bid on a fantastic item and support the American Cancer Society.

The silent auction comes just days before the City hosts its annual Rally For Life Doubles Tennis Tournament on April 2.

In honor of spring, the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center is hosting a special rabbit promotion where you can adopt a furry new friend for only $20.

That's right: If you've ever considered a rabbit, there's no better place to find one than here. Before you do consider adopting Peter Rabbit, make sure you know a rabbit is the right pet for you.  They are NOT great for small kids because they can get hurt if stepped on or dropped, but for older children and adults, rabbits can be tons of fun.

Meet Ruby – the fun, energetic and loving dog you’ve been looking for!

Ruby is a 2-year-old brindle boxer mix who loves walks, chasing toys and lying down with people. She is perfect for an active family who will commit to helping her release her energy every day. She does well with other large dogs but would thrive in a home without small animals.  She could still use some leash training and will go home with a special training package.

Looking for a lap dog who will give you his undivided attention?  If so, Nigel is the pup for you.

This affectionate 5-year-old Chihuahua/whippet mix loves to cuddle and wants nothing more than to spend the entire day by your side.  He has just the right amount of energy to enjoy a daily walk or hike, but he also enjoys spending time with his family on the couch.

The City of Mission Viejo, Orange County Fire Authority and American Red Cross are seeking local volunteers to help install free smoke alarms and distribute fire safety information to the community.

Part of the City’s ongoing fire prevention and safety efforts, this home fire campaign effort is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 8.

The City of Mission Viejo is gearing up to host its annual Community Health Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, February 25 at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.

The Community Health Fair features something for all ages including a host of free screenings – glucose; blood pressure; chiropractic; spinal; developmental screening for kids under 6; fitness assessments; and bone scans.

Children will enjoy a “kids’ zone” with multiple games, and free “swag” bags will be handed out while supplies last.

Grab your sneakers and head to the Felipe Tennis Center on February 3 for an exhilarating night of High School Dodgeball.

That's right, High School Dodgeball is returning to the center at 27161 Nogal from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.  Bring your pals or come solo to make new friends while competing for forever bragging rights in a 6 vs 6 dodgeball tournament.  If you're not a dodgeball fan, don't fret. The event will also feature music, fire pits, s'mores and more for a memorable, fun night.

If you have an old computer, hard drive, TV or other electronic device, drop it off at Mission Viejo City Hall on Saturday, January 21 for a good cause.
