Thank you so much for letting me adopt Nala. She is settling in well.
I wanted to send you some pics from Coco's [elote's] first month with us. She is the sweetest kitten- so affectionate and playful. Our older cat and her play together and just this week started sleeping on the same bed- they are making progress!! Coco doesn't love our dogs but we are still working on getting them acclimated and letting her approach them at her own pace. She's started
We adopted Laguna, now Pumpkin, a little over 2 months ago and I wanted to send an update. Pumpkin is doing amazing in our home. She loves to play, watch dad work, and make biscuits on her favorite blanket. We love having Pumpkin!
Macho Nacho is doing great! This is within 10 minutes of us getting home for the first time with him (and Luigi). He pretty much made himself right at home.  We thought we would have to carry him a little bit on our walks with Luigi, since we walk at least 15-20 minutes, 4 times a day.  Nope!  Macho Nacho walks the whole time.  He likes to get under Luigi's leg while he
Sage, now known as Kacey, is really feeling at home.  She walks great on the leash with Freckles.  They are still working on their relationship, Kacey wants to play and Freckles wants to be left alone.  At night they do sleep on their dog beds next to each other.  As you can see Kacey has found it's ok to lay on the couch. Last Saturday we had our grandson's 5 year old
Duffy and Sylvester are feeling right at home. Thank you so much I smile every day.. they make me so happy
Me and my family adopted Churro about almost two months ago now! I just wanted to reach out and give you guys an update. He's doing super well right now and is very calm and well behaved for his age. He loves going to Wags and Wiggles dog daycare with me and has made so many friends there too including my co workers who love him as well! He absolutely loves his nap times and will find the most
It's been a little over 5 months since we've adopted Hoagie. This guy has eased into his fur-ever home and has brought immense love and joy into our lives. Thank you for giving us this snuggle bug and the newest member of our family.
I just wanted to share that I adopted Bella 22 years ago from the Mission Viejo Animal Shelter.  She was tiny as a teacup when I first brought her home.  She is such a sweet, sassy cat and is still doing great.  Pets are such a big part of our family and I appreciate all your shelter does to help animals find their forever homes!

We adopted a sweet little kitten about a month ago from you and we wanted to share that he has become a huge part of our family! When we adopted him, his name was Key Largo. Our daughters have since named him Bunker, after a golf course sand trap, because of his white fur. He is doing amazing and fits right in with our family. Our other cat, Blossom, absolutely loves him and they are caught
updates from our new adoption for Togo!
formerly Popcorn now named Lola!
We adopted Sierra from your Shelter on Tuesday 8/10/21. The name she responded to was Sophie and that is her official name. The first night was restless but now it's not even a week and it feels like she has been in our family always. We love her and are so happy she is home.
Here's an update on Mooshie's first two days. She has stolen the hearts of everyone here as she did yours. She spent all day yesterday sleeping, only punctuated by tail wagging. I'm sure she's decompressing from the changes in her life. I'm letting her take the lead as to her comfort level and what she wants to explore. She's a bit more adventurous today. Did I tell you that my house backs up to
Kali's have finished 2 out of 4 meds and also girls are finishing up the boiled chicken and rice I made for Kali earlier in the week. Transitioning away from boiled chicken and rice to adding some of the hard and soft food Gemma eats to completely be on Gemma's food by the time the meds are done. Fingers crossed for Kali. Pic I too just now after morning walk while I'm working out.
Aruba in her new home.
Dear MVASC staff and DAWG, We wanted to thank you for allowing us to adopt Fievel who we named Finnegan (we call him Finn!) Finn has brought immeasurable joy to our family. Each one of us has a special bond with him and he is getting love from every direction! We have always created a "voice" for our pets and Finn often runs through the house saying "I hit the dang jackpot coming home
We adopted Figaro (AKA Puddles) last month and he's fitting right in with Luna whom we adopted from MVAS four years ago. There was hissy week of adjustment for Luna, but we hung in there and moved slowly with introductions. Our patience was rewarded: Luna is now delighted to have a little buddy she can mentor, groom, and wrestle.  Fig is a treasure "” so playful and spunky. He's also the
Hi. I believe it was May of 2019 that i adopted Finn, a senior male Maltese that was blind and almost completely deaf. He also had a Mitral valve prolapse. I was staying with my mom in MV carrying for her until she passed later in the year. She enjoyed Finn's company so much.  January  of 2020 Finn drove to MI with me. He was such a trooper. He is such a sweetheart! His heart has
I just wanted to share how good things are going with Lucie! She is the sweetest dog. She waits for me patiently in the house and entertains herself with toys and treats while I am at work and then when I get home we go for long walks. She also loves everyone in my family and they all love her. She is a goofball and gives licks and kisses before going to bed at night. Can't wait to take her
I just adopted this sweet baby. We are already so in love. She's already warming up to her new home!
We adopted Coco (named Maple), the dark tabby in April 2020, and Bevie February 28, 2021.  They aren't best friends yet, but both are exhausted after some play time together.  They both are so much fun and so glad we got Coco a friend.
Hi there. Just wanted to share an update on Kismet :) we call her Tali now. She is settled in and enjoying her life with her new little pack. She's definitely a chewer so we've been taking her out a lot to keep her busy and away from furniture ;) She's super sweet, has come out of her shell a lot, and is already meeting other dogs and people more confidently. In just two weeks, she's learned to
Hello animal services staff!  We just wanted to let you know Astro is doing very well! When we brought him home he was binkying and licking us like crazy. He ran circles around my feet, which was so adorable. He is such a little love-bun. He ADORES cuddling which is exactly the kind of bun we wanted. He especially likes to be pet on his head. He has quickly settled in and stolen our hearts
