Animal Services

You can celebrate your cat or dog while supporting a great cause through the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center's "Holiday Tree of Memories."

Halloween is just around the corner and one special dog is in the spirit!  Denver, a 4-year-old pit bull terrier, is dressed up and hoping for a place to go this Halloween.

He is well-mannered, confident and loves to be the center of attention"”instantly becoming best buds with everyone he meets. Denver would do best with a family that is home often, loves to cuddle and is able to give him the exercise he needs.

As an added incentive, Denver will go home to an approved applicant for only $20.

Babs is a sweet 3-year-old domestic shorthaired brown tabby.  She treats every day like an easy Sunday morning - lounging around in bed with a cozy blanket and leisurely nibbling on snacks.  At nearly 15 pounds, it's safe to say Babs enjoys her food.  She can be vocal and engaging when she's looking for some one-on-one time but is typically self-content and easygoing.  Her mellow personality would do best in a quiet home.

Hop over to the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center this weekend October 7-8 and adopt a rabbit for only $20.

Throughout “Hoptober Fest,” friendly volunteers will be on hand introducing folks to some sweet and longtime resident rabbits patiently awaiting their forever homes.  Along with the $20 adoption fee, approved applicants will receive a free vet exam and complete rabbit-care packet for their new furry friend.

Meet Max, an adorable 1-year-old American Staffordshire. Max has a sleek white coat, gentle eyes and will greet you with a zealous smile.  Max is high-spirited and enjoys playing fetch with tennis balls, doing laps in the yard and going for long walks. He is politely eager to meet other dogs and may do well with another furry companion.

Tula, the cinnamon-and-black tortoiseshell kitty, is long awaiting her forever home.  Tula is one of the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center’s longest residents at no fault of her own.

Luna Belle is a 3-year-old Calico cat who is just as sweet as she is beautiful.  Though not the most active cat, Luna Belle is still extremely curious about her surroundings and will venture around looking for familiar legs to nuzzle on. She is a unique cat whose heart beats a little differently than other cats. This only makes her even more special and does not affect her happy lifestyle.

Meet Elodie, a big, beautiful and sweet 2-year-old “shorthair” cat. Her smooth coat and dazzling emerald eyes match her queen-like personality. She is mellow and independent and enjoys being pet, brushed and chasing cat toys.

Surprisingly, Elodie has been at the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center for three months and is waiting her forever home. She would thrive in a calm, quiet home – and her adoption fee has been reduced to just $20 for an approved applicant.

With hot temperatures lingering in the forecast, pet owners are reminded to take the following precautions to keep their animals happy, healthy and safe.

Max is a sweet 1-year-old neutered American Staffordshire Terrier, otherwise known as a pit-bull mix.   He is extremely outgoing and looks at life as one big adventure.  Max is bound to steal your heart with his fun personality and adorable ears, which stand straight up!
