The Mission Viejo Activities Committee will hold the Annual Street Faire and Fireworks Spectacular on Olympiad between Marguerite and Melinda. The fun begins at noon with live entertainment on the Main Stage and youth bands performing on our Freedom Stage. 

The City Council on Tuesday ended its meeting with a moment of silence to honor the many lives tragically lost to gun violence. That included the victims of the horrific tragedies in Uvalde, Texas; Buffalo, New York; and in our South County community of Laguna Woods where Dr. John Cheng gave his life to save others.  

Mayor Wendy Bucknum reflected on how this community is mourning the victims lost to senseless acts of violence.  

Join cancer survivors and caregivers at the Relay For Life of South Orange County on Saturday, June 11 from 1 to 9 pm on the Village Green at Oso Viejo Community Park in Mission Viejo.

Join the Mission Viejo Nadadores for the TYR Pro Swim Series at the Marguerite Aquatics Complex June 1-4.

The TYR Pro Swim Series provides fans and local communities with a first-class spectator experience as swimmers from around the globe compete in preparation for their run to summer championship meets. 

Join us at 5:30 pm at Terrace on the Green for a special Memorial Day weekend kickoff happy hour featuring live music by Tony Suraci playing country to alt-rock.

Hundreds of elite athletes will descend on Lake Mission Viejo for the annual Orange County Triathlon on Sunday, May 22.

This Olympic-distance event traverses Mission Viejo neighborhoods and surrounding communities and includes a 1.5K swim in Lake Mission Viejo. Athletes then ride along the 40K bike course through Santiago Canyon, with part of the race crossing the 1984 Olympic finish line near the lake. Other events include an Aquathon and Duathlon.

The City, Mission Viejo Activities Committee and Jewish Federation of Orange County recently hosted a memorable educational evening with Auschwitz survivor Sam Silberberg in front of a packed house at the Norman P. Murray Center. The event is now available to view on the City's YouTube Channel.
