Bring your friends and family to Terrace on the Green on Friday, April 29 at 5:30 pm for a special happy hour featuring live music by George Butts playing jazz on saxophone. George is known for his warm soulful style and energetic personality. Performing around the world with top recording artists, George has captured the hearts of audiences across the world.

Seating is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.  A new, tasty appetizer menu will also be available for purchase.

If you want to enjoy the outdoors and tour sensational sustainable landscapes, mark your calendar for Saturday, May 7. That's when Moulton Niguel Water District hosts its NatureScape Garden Tour from 9 am to noon.

The City Council on Tuesday, April 12 will consider approving a conditional agreement for a monetary contribution from the Nadadores Foundation to purchase and install new bleacher seating for the dive well area at the Marguerite Aquatics Complex.  

The funding from the Nadadores Foundation for bleacher seating will allow many more spectators to enjoy the diving competitions and excitement at the facility. 

After a unanimous vote by the City Council last month, a potential zoning change for the Gardens property owned by ValueRock Realty will be considered by the Planning and Transportation Commission on Monday.

The City, the Mission Viejo Activities Committee and the Jewish Federation of Orange County invites the community to a special educational evening with Auschwitz survivor Sam Silberberg on Thursday, April 21. The interview begins at 6 pm in the Sycamore Room at the Norman P. Murray Center.

The City of Mission Viejo in partnership with Red Songbird Foundation is co-sponsoring a Community Townhall on mental health and suicide Sunday, April 10 at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.

The two-hour Community Townhall begins at 4:30 pm and features guest speakers and mental health advocates including Hilary Roberts, CEO of Red Song Bird Foundation; Gil Carmona; Dr. Lawrence Tucker; Preston Durnford; Ottis Johnson; and Tanya Brown, the sister of Nicole Brown Simpson. 

The City Council on Tuesday passed a resolution to eliminate the threat of fentanyl and an ordinance to help deter catalytic converter threats in Mission Viejo, among other City business.
