The weight of the pandemic has not crushed the spirit of giving in Mission Viejo. In fact, since spring 2020, Mission Viejo residents have donated 66,004 pounds of food; $13,300 in hygiene and PPE products; 33,767 diapers and wipes; and $2,200 in cash and gift cards to food, supply and diaper donations hosted by the City of Mission Viejo to benefit folks in need.

The City's twentieth and final "Drop and Go" food drive on December 11 at the Norman P. Murray Center netted 1,252 pounds of food and other in-kind donations during the two-hour event.

As we gear up for the holidays, the City is reminding residents to be aware of City facility hours.

Mission Viejo City Hall will be closed Friday, December 24 through Sunday, January 2.

Police and fire will be unaffected by the holiday schedules, but trash service will be delayed one day following Christmas and New Year's Day.
