The Felipe Tennis and Recreation Center is gearing up for a spectacular Grand Re-Opening celebration from 5-8 p.m. on July 20.
 
The event will boast fun activities including FREE junior tennis clinics for kids with Head Tennis Professional Ryan Hill, adult tennis games with prizes compliments of Head Penn and a special pickleball demonstration.

Mission Viejo is nationally renowned for its safety, schools and producing countless Olympians. Now it’s gaining a reputation for its vast parks and recreational amenities.

Have you ever wanted to be a secret agent? Now’s your chance to set out on exciting new missions throughout Mission Viejo! 

Five new missions were recently launched on a free app called Agents of Discovery. Simply download the augmented reality educational app on your mobile device and conquer each unique mission to become a top-secret discovery agent.

Now there's even more reason to make a splash in Mission Viejo this summer.  Head to the Sierra and Montanoso Recreation Centers from July 7 through August 19 to enjoy riding the water slide and testing your agility on the inflatable obstacle course. 

Are you ready to take a swing or two on the dance floor? Mark your calendar for Saturday, July 14 when the Bee's Knees Speakeasy & Swing Dance featuring GOT THAT SWING! take center stage from 6:30-9 p.m. at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center.
 
This talented group of performers will have you clapping your hands and tapping your feet to classic tunes that inspire people of all ages to jump, jive, boogie, Lindy Hop and jitterbug.
 
Cost is $10 for kids and $15 for adults (cash only).
 

Mark your calendar for July 27 when the notorious soulful rockers of Family Style grace the Mission Viejo stage from 6-8 p.m. at Oso Viejo Park. 

With a dynamic stage show and music from Stevie Wonder, Prince, Marvin Gaye and James Brown plus a healthy dose of David Bowie, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Van Morrison, Family Style will get you on your feet for a funky good time. This popular band has been playing blues, soul and rock and roll at local venues since 1989.

Are you ready for a fun summer night out with your family? We’ve got you covered with our Family Game Night from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 11 on the Village Green at Oso Viejo Park.

You and your family members will have a blast playing bocce, connect 4, Frisbee golf, XL checkers, chess and much more! 

Sponsored by the Senior Citizens’ Activities Committee, Family Game Night includes dinner and refreshments – all for only $5 per person. 

Get ready to celebrate our nation’s independence Mission Viejo style at the annual 4th of July Street Fair & Fireworks Spectacular on Olympiad between Marguerite and Melinda.

The fun kicks off at noon with live entertainment on the Main Stage and youth bands jamming on the Freedom Stage.

Hosted by the Mission Viejo Activities Committee, this patriotic event features food and game booths by local service groups along with more than 40 vendors offering cool craft and gift ideas. Admission is FREE with tickets available for games and rides. 

Registration is now open for the annual Julie Foudy Soccer Day Camp at the World Cup Soccer Fields, 27301 La Paz Road. This all day soccer camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 16 through July 19, and is designed for young girls (ages 8-16).
