Recreation

  • You must be 12 years of age to participate in the aerobic/yoga classes. (Individuals 12 to 17 years old must have a parent release form on file.) Bring a mat with you during each class.

  • Proper athletic shoes and attire are recommended for participation. Some classes may use an optional policy for footwear. If you have a question, please see the instructor or staff member about this policy. Please do not wear dress shoes or any other types of footwear that may scuff or mark the floor.

Community members are invited to a special Spring Soiree where Head Coaches Mark Schubert and Michele Mitchell will provide insight into the recent renovation of the Marguerite Aquatics Complex and honor the 50-year legacy of the Mission Viejo Nadadores.

If you enjoy swimming laps, listen up!  You can now make a splash at three City facilities thanks to the re-opening of the revamped Marguerite Aquatics Complex.

Get ready to lace up your tennis shoes and hit the courts, because the Marguerite Tennis Pavilion is hosting a new eight-week Men's Summer Doubles League from May 16 through July 11.

This social, competitive league features a round-robin doubles format for 3.5 to 4.5 players.  The unique tourney bases matches on individual results, and player partners will be rotated after each set to make for a constant challenge.

Registration is now available for the City of Mission Viejo’s spring Lifeguard Training Courses at the Montanoso Recreation Center.

The classes teach folks the skills and knowledge necessary to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. Participants will receive American Red Cross certification in lifeguard training, first aid and CPR/AED for the professional rescuer. The training is valid for two years.

Get ready to make a splash during the Grand Re-Opening of the Marguerite Aquatics Complex this Saturday, April 7.

Along with Olympic-style pageantry, the event will give families the chance to enjoy the newly renovated pools with fun games, competitions and recreational swimming throughout the day.
