Guitar guru and composer Adam Rafferty will take the Mission Viejo stage for the next Lord of the Strings concert at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 24.
Rafferty is well known as a jazz and funky fingerstyle guitarist; perhaps you’ve heard his acclaimed solo guitar album of Michael Jackson songs, “I Remember Michael.†Very cool, indeed.

With baseball season on tap, the public is invited to a screening of the inspiring classic feature film "The Natural" on Sunday, March 19 at Mission Viejo City Hall.
The event, which begins at 2 p.m., is sponsored by the City's Community of Character Committee and was selected to illustrate March's character trait of integrity.
Mission Viejo City Hall is mourning the loss of one its beloved volunteers Cliff McKinley who passed away this week at the age of 90.
Cliff was a longtime member of the City’s Senior Community Activity Team (SCAT), a program that assists Mission Viejo Police Services with everything from van patrol and home vacation checks to help at special events and City Hall.

As part of an ongoing effort to offer an array of services and programs, the Mission Viejo Library is hosting a series of free workshops for college-bound individuals.
The free 2-hour workshops, geared toward high school sophomores, juniors and others, focus on personality and choice of majors along with other college important considerations folks may not have considered.

To commemorate the Martin King Jr. holiday, the Mission Viejo Community of Character will show the film "The Rosa Parks Story" on Sunday, January 15.
In 1955, Rosa Parks created the spark that ignited the modern Civil Rights Movement when she refused to give up her seat on a segregated bus in Montgomery, Alabama. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. led a boycott that successfully ended segregated busing in that community.
As the City prepares for the upcoming holidays, the public should be aware of facility operating hours.
Mission Viejo City Hall will be closed Monday, December 26 through Monday, January 2.

Don't miss a free screening of the holiday classic "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" on Sunday, December 18 at Mission Viejo City Hall.

Directed by Ron Howard and starring Jim Carrey as the Grinch, the movie is highly entertaining while teaching valuable lessons about caring and the spirit of the holidays.
