U.S. Congresswoman Mimi Walters will host mobile office hours in Mission Viejo on Thursday, December 1 to help residents with federal casework issues. 

The Congresswoman’s staff will be at City Hall from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. to assist residents with issues regarding Veterans Affairs, Social Security, Medicare, IRS, immigration/passports, grants and more.

The Master Chorale of Saddleback Valley will delight folks of all ages with a spectacular Mistletoe and Holly Concert on Sunday, December 11 at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.

The 4 p.m. concert will feature holiday favorites folks love along with pieces many have never heard before. A highlight of the afternoon will be a rendition of Morten Lauridsen's magical and haunting "O Magnum Mysterium.” Guests will also savor traditional wassail – hot spiced cider – and cookies.  Doors open at 3:30 p.m.

Mark your calendar for an exciting casino-themed holiday mixer Wednesday, December 14 at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.

Guests to the 5:30 p.m. Mission Viejo Chamber of Commerce event can play their hand at blackjack, craps and roulette with play money and chips. Free refreshments from Stefano's Golden Baked Ham and Creative Creations Catering will be served and beer and wine will be available for purchase from High Park Tap House.

If you have ever wanted to serve on a City commission, now's your chance. The City is accepting applications from residents interested in serving on its Planning and Transportation Commission, Community Services Commission and Investment Advisory Commission. 

The commissions are made up of five members, except for the 7-member Community Services Commission, and are appointed by the City Council.  The Council will appoint new commissioners to serve 2-year terms on January 10.

Since arriving in Mission Viejo atop a fire truck on Sunday, Santa Claus has been busy scheduling more appearances in town before heading back to the North Pole.

Sunday’s arrival and celebration, which attracted about 1,500 people to the Mission Viejo Civic Center Plaza, was just the tip of the iceberg for St. Nick whose calendar is packed with fun family engagements. 

Santa Claus is coming to town!  Don’t miss jolly old St. Nick as he rolls into town in all his glory atop a fire truck at the Mission Viejo Civic Center.  The fun begins at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 27.

Two of the best fingerstyle guitarists on the planet will grace the Mission Viejo stage on Saturday, December 3. That’s when legendary acoustic guitarist Peppino D' Agnostino and fingerpicking master Richard Smith perform together for the first time for a special fan appreciation and holiday show.

The Lord of the Strings concert begins at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chamber at Mission Viejo Civic Center, 200 Civic Center.
