Get ready to make a splash under the stars during the Teen Scene Splash and Inflatable Night on Friday, September 13 at the Montanoso Recreation Center.

Registration is now available for the City of Mission Viejo's Junior Lifeguard Training at Montanoso Recreation Center. The class will be offered Monday through Friday, July 15-19 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.       

Taught by certified Lifeguards, the class builds a foundation of knowledge and skills for future lifeguard employment focused on water safety, drowning prevention, and skills for helping others in the water.

You don't have to leave Mission Viejo to savor a luau"¦just head to the Montanoso Recreation Center from 4-7 pm on June 14 for a fun Friday Float Luau!

Bring your family, swimsuits and towels to celebrate summer Hawaiian-style. You'll enjoy poolside music, face painting, a hula contest, splash pad and food available for purchase. Tickets are $5, with free admittance for kids 5 and under.

Is your child entering kindergarten in the fall? If so or even if not, your child can get a leg up in our ABC's with Tiny Tots summer program at the Montanoso Recreation Center.

This amazing class helps prepare your child for kindergarten in a fun, loving and structured environment.  The program focuses on developing kids' skills in socialization, listening and patience through learning to write their names, letters and numbers along with enjoying cooking, music, science, story/circle time and art.  Kids can also use the splash pad.

Have you ever wanted to be a secret agent? Now’s your chance to set out on exciting new missions throughout Mission Viejo! 

Five new missions were recently launched on a free app called Agents of Discovery. Simply download the augmented reality educational app on your mobile device and conquer each unique mission to become a top-secret discovery agent.  

Now there's even more reason to make a splash in Mission Viejo this summer.  Head to the Sierra and Montanoso Recreation Centers from July 7 through August 19 to enjoy riding the water slide and testing your agility on the inflatable obstacle course. 

If you enjoy swimming laps, listen up!  You can now make a splash at three City facilities thanks to the re-opening of the revamped Marguerite Aquatics Complex.
 

Registration is now available for the City of Mission Viejo’s spring Lifeguard Training Courses at the Montanoso Recreation Center.

The classes teach folks the skills and knowledge necessary to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. Participants will receive American Red Cross certification in lifeguard training, first aid and CPR/AED for the professional rescuer. The training is valid for two years.

Take a spin on a new spin bike at the Montanoso Recreation Center or swing a racquet at the Felipe Tennis Center or Marguerite Tennis Pavilion. With Mission Viejo Recreation Center memberships starting at only $25 a month, you can enjoy fitness at your own pace, make new friends and fulfill those 2018 resolutions. 

Catering to all fitness levels and personal styles, the centers offer more than 40 classes a week including the latest fee-based classes such as Spin, TRX and Barre.
