Mission Viejo Television (MVTV) is now airing its three-part special series featuring the incredible marching band programs at our local high schools.

The three 30-minute segments capture the incredible marching bands from Trabuco Hills High School; Mission Viejo High School and Capistrano Valley High School.

Have you heard of the City's Housing Rehabilitation Program? This longtime program helps folks with low to moderate incomes improve their living conditions and extend the life of their homes.

Through the program, Mission Viejo residents can make heating, plumbing and driveway repairs. They can install new roofs, add a new coat of exterior paint to improve the home's appearance, replace windows and doors and make energy-conservation repairs, among others.

If you’ve ever wanted to be a hero, now’s your chance. You can be a “Hunger Hero” by donating food to the less fortunate.

The City of Mission Viejo is joining forces with South County Outreach on Saturday, February 11 to host a food drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot of the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center.

Save the date for Saturday, March 25 when the inaugural Working Wardrobes' VetNet 5K Walk and Fun Run takes step in Mission Viejo along the picturesque Oso Creek Trail.

Working Wardrobes is an Orange County-based nonprofit that for over two decades has helped more than 70,000 men and women - and many veterans - overcome such challenges as alcohol and drug abuse, domestic violence and homelessness.

If you are interested in joining an incredible and fun effort designed to stamp out cancer, then make plans to attend the Relay For Life of Mission Viejo "Kick-off Celebration" on Thursday, January 26.

Two popular musicians will grace the Mission Viejo stage on Saturday, January 21. That's when legendary acoustic guitarist Peppino D' Agnostino and master violinist Carlos Reyes perform together for a special Lord of the Strings concert.

The concert begins at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chamber at Mission Viejo Civic Center, 200 Civic Center.

The Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center is seeking volunteer nurses for the center's free blood pressure screening on Wednesdays.

Registered and vocational nurses or certified nursing assistants are sought to volunteer a 2-hour shift from 10 a.m. to noon at least one Wednesday per month.

The blood pressure screening is one of many free services the City of Mission Viejo offers to older residents.

As the City prepares for the upcoming holidays, the public should be aware of facility operating hours.
