Due to proactive fiscal responsibility - especially during the pandemic - the City of Mission Viejo is closing out fiscal year 21/22 with a $5 million net operating surplus in its General Fund.  

Assemblywoman Laurie Davies is hosting a town hall meeting on "Crime Safety and Prevention" from 6:30-8 pm on Tuesday, September 27 at the Crown Valley Community Center in Laguna Niguel.

South County residents are invited to join this informative public safety chat about crime prevention trends, legislative updates, and community involvement opportunities.

To help keep residents healthy, the City of Mission Viejo is partnering with Genoa Healthcare to provide free Senior and Community Flu Shot Clinics in October and November. 

The City Council meeting on Tuesday focused on exciting City facility upgrades and efforts throughout the community.  

Have fun at the Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, October 15 at Oso Creek Golf Course.

Check in/warm up, food and beer tents open at 3 pm, and bags fly at 4 pm.

This social division event is open to all ages and skill levels. The Switcholio format is a blind draw, two games round robin where players get a new partner every game and get ranked on an individual basis. This makes for a fun mixer environment for all levels.

Mission Viejo residents are invited to "Out Boo" their neighborhoods with spooky Halloween décor or create a pumpkin and fall harvest designs for the second annual Mission Viejo Halloween and Fall Home Decorating Contest.

Embrace the spirit of the season and compete for forever bragging rights. First-place winners will receive a certificate, winner sign for their front yard, an 8 x 10 photo and a gift basket.

Join us for a fun night of golf when we light up the course during the inaugural Glow Golf Tournament.

The tournament will be a shotgun scramble with a pre-golf Glow Happy Hour, Glow Long Putt Contest, and prizes for the top 3 teams.

Bring your friends, family or play as an individual. The entry fee is $100 per person, and includes a cart, 3 glow golf balls, a glow stick for your golf bag, glow necklaces and bracelets, and a scrumptious dinner box. Mulligans and tickets for the Glow Long Putt Contest will be available for purchase.

Oso Creek Golf Course and Terrace on the Green will close for semi-annual maintenance during the last week of September.

The golf course will close September 26-28 and Terrace on the Green will close September 26-29.

The maintenance includes aerification of greens, fertilizing fairways, tree trimming, finishing the restroom between the 13th and 17th tees, and upgrades to Terrace on the Green including painting and cleaning.
