A new tea and coffee establishment is set to open in The Shops at Mission Viejo. ComeBuy Tea features an array of teas including milk and fruit teas with your choice of toppings. On the mall's lower level near the center court, the store is expected to open by the end of the year. Started in Taiwan, this new location is one of the first in the United States. Puerta Real Target 
The new smaller Target is expected to open on November 11 in the Puerta Real Shopping Center on the corner of Crown Valley Parkway and Puerta Real. This is one of the first smaller-format Targets to open in Orange County, opening alongside a new store in Anaheim and a recent Irvine opening. This new style Target focuses primarily on ease and convenience. This location used to house Sports Chalet.  An exterior center renovation coincides with the new store's opening.

Michaels Craft Store New Location 
The City received an application for Michaels craft store to occupy the old Sports Authority building at 25462 El Paseo in the Mission Viejo Freeway Center. Next to the existing Best Buy store, the old Sports Authority space has been vacant for years. The proposed plans call for remodeling about 28,000 square feet of interior space by adding new partitions to create craft classrooms, lighting changes and minor storefront alterations to match the store's design. The new Michaels store is slated to open for business in March.

Buy Local Mission Viejo was created by the Chamber of Commerce and City of Mission Viejo to support our businesses and encourage local buying that strengthens our thriving community by raising awareness about the economic, environmental and community benefits of thinking local first.

The Buy Local campaign runs from October 1 through December 31 and will feature a host of restaurants and businesses offering specials on food, goods and services. 

Golden Spoon Café 
The newly renovated and reinvented Golden Spoon Café received a Certificate of Occupancy from the City this week and is expected to open within the coming weeks. Nestled at 26012 Marguerite Parkway, this new café concept specializes in scooping up cultured gelato in many flavors like cookie butter, Rice Krispy, tiramisu and lemon sorbet. The cafe will also offer premium coffees, teas, acai bowls, smoothies, cookies, muffins and fresh pastries.  The renovated GS Café takes the place of the former Golden Spoon. 

 

Israeli burger chain slated to open this fall 

Israeli burger chain Burgerim is expected to open in Mission Viejo this fall. The eatery will be housed in the new GreenStreet development under construction on Marguerite Parkway. 

A new Target flex store plans to open in the space that used to house Sports Chalet in the Puerta Real Shopping Center.

The Target, one of many opening across the country, is a small-format store designed to deliver a shopping experience that focuses on ease and convenience. It’s expected to open by November or December.  The new store is part of the shopping center’s exterior renovation that includes an attractive new color scheme and other design elements.
