Mark your calendar for November 20 when the Friends of the Library hosts its annual Holiday Book Sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Heritage Room near the library's entrance.
 
An array of nearly new materials will be available for sale including holiday-themed books, DVDs, CDs and cookbooks.  Prices generally range from $.50 to $2, with cash and credit cards accepted. 

Chef Gino Campagna, a culinary master adored by children and adults alike, will give a special cooking demonstration on Friday, November 3 when he discusses his latest book "Chef Gino's Taste Test Challenge."

Families are invited to see this internationally renowned chef in action beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall Saddleback Room, just across from the Mission Viejo Library at 200 Civic Center.

Local teens are in for a treat during Teen Gaming Day from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, October 29 at the Mission Viejo Library Storytime Room, 100 Civic Center.

Held in honor of International Games Week, this fun free event for teens ages 13-18 will feature a host of card, electronic and board games including Munchkin, Pandemic and Catan.  Many provided by The Game Chest of Mission Viejo. Teens will also enjoy tabletop roleplaying and virtual reality (VR) games.  The event includes free pizza.

CANCELED - Tis the season for Halloween horror movies - with freaky characters like Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, Freddy Krueger and Chucky.  If you're a horror movie buff, then make plans for the Halloween Horror Movie Trivia night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 27.
 
Test your knowledge of horror classics like "Halloween"; "A Nightmare on Elm Street"; "Carrie"; and others.
 

The Mission Viejo Library is gearing up for its spectacular 20th anniversary celebration on Saturday, October 14.

In an effort to provide patrons with the most innovative and convenient services possible, the Mission Viejo Library is switching its online language learning program to Rosetta Stone Library Solution, recognized as a leader in technology-based language learning.

Residents and businesses experiencing problems with any state agency can obtain help from Assemblyman Bill Brough’s District Office in Mission Viejo on Monday, September 18.

The mobile office is from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mission Viejo Library at 100 Civic Center.

From unemployment to licensing and help with the DMV, Assemblyman Bill Brough’s staff can provide assistance in resolving an array of issues.

Planning is underway for an exciting community celebration this fall that will mark the Mission Viejo Library’s 20th anniversary.

Calling all teenagers! If you’re ready for hands-on fun with new technology, then register today for the “Teen Pop-Up MakerSpace: Tech Petting Zoo” program July 18 at the Mission Viejo Library.

Don't miss the 2nd annual Adult Spelling Bee this Friday at 5:30 p.m. in the Saddleback Room at 200 Civic Center, just across from the library.  Doors open at 5 p.m. 

A brass quintet will entertain folks before and after the event, and guests will be treated to a reception in the Kershaw Garden following the spelling bee.
