The City of Mission Viejo is gearing up for its annual Oso Fit Community Health Fair and 5K Fun Run from 7:30-11 a.m. Saturday, February 23 at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.

The Community Health Fair features something for all ages including a host of free screenings - glucose; blood pressure; body fat; grip strength; chiropractic; stroke; Malocclusion; thyroid scans; and others. This annual event is part of an ongoing City effort to promote Mission Viejo's role as a Healthy Eating, Active Living (HEAL) city.

Join the Community of Character on Sunday, February 17 to see the classic baseball film "Field of Dreams" beginning at 2 p.m. in the Council Chamber at 200 Civic Center.

The Saddleback Valley Unified School District (SVUSD) Community Services Department is teaming up with our City to launch Mission Viejo Flag Football this spring.

The Mission Viejo Nadadores Diving Team is once again offering the summer community outreach program dubbed Discover a Diver

The 16-lesson series is funded by a $4,000 grant from USA Diving, the national governing body for the sport.  This is the second year of the unique program that identifies underserved children and teaches them the sport of diving.  

Registration is now available for our inaugural Paddle for the Battle double-elimination charity pickleball tournament on Sunday, May 5 at the Felipe Tennis and Recreation Center, 27161 Nogal.   

100% of event registration fees will go directly to the American Cancer Society to help raise money for research and support patient services. Participants will receive a tax-deductible receipt for their entry fees that day.

Take Valentine's Day to new heights through a one-of-a-kind experience for a good cause by dining over the water and under the stars at the City's newly revamped Marguerite Aquatics Complex.

You and your Valentine can enjoy an elegant catered dinner and wine pairings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the competitive dive platform at the center to raise money for the world-renowned Nadadores Diving program.

What student doesn't need extra scholarship money? The Mission Viejo Collaborative has compiled a list of sponsorships available to local high school and college students. 

Early bird prices are ending soon, so get a jump on registering for the 5K Fun Run/Walk and Children's Half & Quarter-Mile Races taking place from 7:30-11 a.m. on Saturday, February 23. Hosted by the City and Mission Viejo Chamber of Commerce, the event is an extension of the annual Community Health Fair.

The 2019 FINA Diving Grand Prix will return to the United States for the first time in six years April 11-14 at Mission Viejo's newly renovated Marguerite Aquatics Complex, USA Diving, the national governing body of diving, announced this week. 

In light of the latest guidelines from the California Department of Public Health to protect public health and slow the rate of transmission of COVID-19, the City of Mission Viejo is canceling or postponing several upcoming events and programs.
