Sports fields can be reserved for Mission Viejo residents by obtaining a permit.  Please view the Sports Field Use and Allocation Policy and appropriate rates for user groups. The City of Mission Viejo Recreation and Community Services Department is responsible for an array of services and facilities for residents and visitors to our City. Responsibilities include class registration, fitness center memberships, special events, facility reservations, aquatics, tennis, teen programs, aging activities and more. Improving the quality of life of the Mission Viejo community is our priority.

Are you ready for some creative, fun and action-packed classes? If so, register for following programs today at https://cityofmissionviejo.org/register.

Registration is now available for the City's second Pickleball Round-Robin Doubles Social Saturday, December 16 at the Sierra Recreation Center, 26887 Recodo Lane.

Pickleball buffs are invited to take part in this fun competition that doesn't require a partner and includes four 30-minute matches.

Medals will be awarded for first and second place in each of the seven divisions: Mixed 2.0; Men's 2.5; Men's 3.0; Men's 3.5; Women's 2.5; Women's 3.0; and Women's 3.5. 

The Community Services Commission will host its next public meeting on January 16 after canceling its November 21 meeting.

The commission serves as an advisory board to the City Council and staff regarding the development and maintenance of parks and recreation facilities; adult and youth recreation services; senior citizen and human services; and cultural and fine arts services.

The commission usually meets at 6 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month in the Council Chamber at City Hall, 200 Civic Center.

The Mission Viejo Football Team will pay homage to veterans on Friday, November 10 during the Diablos’ game against Servite High School.

In recognition of Veterans Day and the 242nd anniversary of the United States Marine Corps, the players will sport jerseys from their annual Mission Armed Forces (MAF) event and are inviting veterans to do the same. Folks honored over the years by the football team who wear their MAF jersey will receive a free meal – hot dog or hamburger with chips and a drink.
