Animal Services

With a New Year, the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center has resolved two things - to help Maggie lose weight and find her a great home.   Maggie, a 3-year-old miniature pinscher, was surrendered to the center when her owner was moved to an assisted-living facility.  Obviously, her former owner spoiled her with food because she came to us weighing a whopping 37 pounds!   Because she has been on a doggie diet while here, she has already lost 7 pounds, but she has a ways to go.

Koda is a 3-year-old Anatolian Shepherd.  Most people haven't heard of this unique breed, but it has been around since ancient times.  In fact, artifacts dating back to 2000 B.C. describe a dog in the Anatolian region fitting this shepherd's description.
