Come celebrate building community through creativity at the Mission Viejo Poetry + Art Collaborative exhibit and reception! Launched by the Mission Viejo Library in March, the Poetry + Art Collaborative is an interactive project that highlights our community's creativity and brings people together through literature and art.

Community members were invited to submit an original poem or create a piece of visual art inspired by one of the poems submitted by their fellow participants. The writers and artists will meet face-to-face for the first time at the reception!

Kids and animal lovers are invited to experience a fun and “paw-some” time from 3:30-4:30 pm on Thursday, June 22 at the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center.

Join the Science Heads STEM team in a discussion of NASA's upcoming Psyche mission. The presentation will cover the goals, objectives, and challenges of the mission.

Come practice your reading skills with adoptable dogs and other animals waiting for a home at the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center. This is a great opportunity to practice literacy skills while experiencing the joy of animal companionship. A selection of books will be available, but feel free to bring your own to share with a furry friend.

International bestselling author Anita Abriel will discuss her latest book "The Life She Wanted" on Wednesday, June 28. 

Part of the City's popular Writers Present program, the event starts at 6 pm in the Council Chamber at 200 Civic Center.
