Adopt a Shelter Dog Month

Be a hero this month and adopt a dog from your local shelter or rescue group. You will significantly improve their life along with your own as dogs are amazing, supportive, and heroic companions. Animal shelters and rescue groups are brimming with happy, healthy pets just waiting for someone to take them home. Most shelter pets wound up here because of a human problem like a move or a divorce, not because the animals did anything wrong. Many are already house-trained and used to living with families.

But what if you can’t adopt? Here are some easy ways you can still help:

Tweet, retweet and repeat the following (or your own message): “October is Adopt-A-Shelter-Dog Month - cmvas.org.”

Organize a donation drive! There are several items that our animals need, which you could advertise around your neighborhood, school, church, etc. and gather for the center animals. This is a great service and is something that anyone can do.  Tap here to view our donation wish list.
