Living with Wildlife February 2019

We are fortunate in South Orange County to live close to some of the most beautiful open space and natural areas in the world.  Our region is known as a biodiversity hot spot, meaning we have some of the richest species diversity on the planet.  This means we are lucky to live near abundant wildlife.

We are excited to share information about how to live near wildlife. When spring arrives, so will baby birds! Here is some information from Audubon Society about what to do if you come across a baby bird.

If you find a fledgling, it should be left alone or placed in a nearby shrub. Keep people and pets away so the parents will continue to care for it until it can fly. Placing fledglings back into nests is typically only a short-term solution, as they will quickly re-emerge.

Learn more about fledgling's here.
