Living with Wildlife
Mission Viejo Animal Services held its annual "Living with Wildlife" presentation at the Laguna Niguel Crown Valley Community Center. Fostering a harmonious and safe coexistence between the public and wildlife is an important priority for MVAS. Our dedicated Animal Control Officers and HOWL volunteers brought informative resources, taxidermized animals, a live opossum and snakes to provide the community with a firsthand look at the wildlife sharing our surroundings.
The Orange County Bird of Prey Center made a special appearance with their animal ambassador, the Great Horned owl, and provided valuable information on the significance of maintaining a robust local raptor population. In the past year, MVAS addressed approximately 2,500 wildlife-related service calls. This event has consistently garnered enthusiastic support and anticipation from the communities we serve, and we look forward to providing future informative events.
