March Rescue Roundup

The Mission Viejo Animal Services Center last August rescued Legend, a Siberian husky/Lab mix through the "A Mission for Home" rescue program. He was quickly adopted but turned out to be too much for his first family and was returned. Sometimes, fate has a way of finding the perfect match, and this was the case for Legend. The most amazing perfect-fit family came along and took him home forever.

His loving family sent us the following update on this sweet dog:

Hi, I just wanted to give you guys an update on Cooper (his shelter name was Legend).

What a great dog! The first night we wondered what we had gotten ourselves into - he was crazy, hyper and pouncing our little dog and cat. But once the new home excitement wore off and with some correction, he became such a great addition to our family!

He's the silliest dog with his toys and always has one with him. We've been taking him on one- to three-mile walks daily (he no longer pulls on the leash) and he's still extremely excited to see other dogs, so we are working on that.

He's such a happy-go-lucky dog. Zero aggression at all and he is always happy and excited to see and play with anyone. His favorite spot is on the couch looking out the window.

Thank you Mission Viejo animal services for allowing us to be Cooper's people! He's awesome!"
