Meet our Team - David Lim
David grew up in the local area and after graduating from high school, he worked as a service technician at a car dealership. In search of a new profession, David enrolled in the Orange County Park Ranger academy as a Reserve Ranger in 2010. For numerous years, David worked as a reserve ranger for Orange County Parks. David was reassigned to Orange County Animal Control as a reserve Animal Control Officer serving in the Special Investigations unit during his stint as a reserve ranger. David became interested in animal control during this time. In 2013 David was hired as a Park Ranger with the city of Anaheim. Then in 2015 he was hired full time with Mission Viejo Animal Services as an Animal Control Officer. David departed MVAS in 2018 to work as an Animal Control Officer for the Irvine Police Department. David returned to MVAS in 2022 as an Animal Control Investigator overseeing special investigations.
David has also served as a District Safety Officer for Rancho Santiago Community College and a Patrol Officer for a private security company.
David is an experienced and skilled member of the team who enjoys educating and training new Animal Control officers.
David spends his free time with his family, mountain biking, rock climbing, and golfing.
